Account, sign-in and privacy

Privacy in plain words

What we store, which AI provider reads your journal, and who else processes your data.

This is the short version of our Privacy Policy. If the two ever disagree, the policy wins.

What we store

  • Your phone number, used only to text you a sign-in code.
  • Your birth date, time and place, and the chart we calculate from them.
  • What you write: journal entries, moods, life events, and your conversations with Siderius.
  • Your Steps, Markers and Streak.
  • Whether you have a subscription. Apple or Stripe hold your payment card; we never see it.
  • Usage and crash data, so we can see what's broken and fix it.

What we don't do

  • We don't sell your personal information, and never have.
  • We don't share your birth details, journal entries or chat with advertisers or data brokers.
  • We don't use your phone number for marketing.

AI and your journal

Debriefs, Markers and Siderius are written by a large language model run by Anthropic (Claude). To do that, the relevant parts of your chart, focus areas, journal entries and chat are sent to Anthropic for processing on our behalf. Anthropic is our service provider under a data processing agreement and does not use your data to train its models.

Who else touches your data

A small set of companies process data for us under contract: Anthropic (AI), Google Cloud (hosting and storage), Stripe (web payments), RevenueCat (purchase and subscription management), Twilio (sign-in texts), Amplitude (analytics) and Sentry (error tracking). The current list, with what each one does, is on our Subprocessor List.

Deleting everything

You can delete your account from inside the app, without emailing anyone: Me tab, gear icon, then Delete Account at the bottom of Settings. Deletion runs straight away, and any remaining personal information is deleted or de-identified within 30 days. The details are in Deleting your account.

Questions or requests about your data go to support@fmrx.ai.
