Deleting your account
How to delete your account from inside the app, and what to do before you confirm.
You can delete your FMRX account from inside the app. You don't need to email anyone or wait for a reply.
Where to find it
- Open FMRX and go to the Me tab.
- Tap the gear icon to open Settings.
- Scroll to the bottom. The last row is Delete Account.
- Tap it. A dialog asks you to confirm by typing DELETE.
- Type the word and tap the confirm button.
The typed confirmation is there so a stray tap can't do it. Once you confirm, deletion runs straight away.
What happens
Your account is permanently deleted, along with everything tied to it: your birth details and chart, every journal entry, your moods, your Steps, your Markers, and your Streak. Any invite codes you were given are revoked at the same time. There's no recovery window and no archived copy we can restore, so read back anything you want to keep before you confirm.
You're signed out as soon as deletion completes.
Before you delete
Deleting your account does not cancel a paid subscription. If you subscribed on your iPhone, Apple bills you through the App Store, and Apple doesn't know your FMRX account is gone. If you have an active plan or trial, cancel it in your iPhone's Settings under Subscriptions before you delete, or you'll keep being charged. If you subscribed on the web, Stripe bills you and the same applies: cancel from Billing & subscription first. The delete dialog shows a warning if this applies to you.
