Getting started with FMRX

Signing in, entering your birth details, and what you'll see on your first Trail.

FMRX is a journal that knows what season you're in. It uses Vedic astrology to lay your life out as terrain: long stretches, shorter ones, and the few days you're walking right now. You write about your day, and the app reflects it back with context you can actually use. It never tells you what to do with it.

Your first minutes

You sign in with your phone number and a code we text you. After that FMRX asks for your birth date, time and place. That's what builds your chart, and the chart is what builds everything else. If you don't know your exact birth time, say so rather than guessing. There's an option for it, and the app works from midday instead. You can correct your birth details later in Settings, though the number of edits is capped each month.

Once your chart is ready you land on the Map. This is the main screen, and it opens on your current Trail: one full-screen vertical scroll covering a short period of days. The Trail runs upward. The days you've already walked sit below you, and the days ahead sit above, so scroll up to look forward and back down to see where you've been.

Your first Trail

Each Zone you pass on the Trail is one calendar day. Today's Zone is where the action is. Write a journal entry, note how you're feeling, and come back tomorrow to see the next Zone open up.

There's no wrong way to begin. A few honest lines about your day tend to matter more than a long entry written to fill the space. The app rewards depth, not volume, so start small and see what comes back.
