Your Trail and chart

Reading your Trail

What a Trail, a Zone, a Sookshma period and a Debrief are, and how to read them.

A Trail is one full-screen vertical scroll, and it covers one Sookshma period. It runs upward: the period's first day sits at the bottom, its last day at the top. Scroll up and you move forward in time; scroll back down and you're looking at days you've already crossed. Nothing on it is a prediction. It's a description of the terrain you're crossing.

Zones are days

Each Trail is divided into Zones, one per calendar day. A Zone holds what you did that day: your journal entry, your mood, and the Debrief that grows out of them. Today's Zone is the one you can write into. Yesterday's stays readable, so you can look back and notice what keeps showing up.

What a Sookshma period is

Vedic astrology divides your life into nested time periods called dashas. There are four levels. The longest runs for years, the next for months, and so on down. Sookshma is the fourth and finest level: a period that lasts days, sometimes a few weeks. It's the reason a Trail has a beginning and an end instead of scrolling forever. When one Sookshma period closes, a new Trail opens, and the weather on it tends to feel a little different.

Reading your Debrief

The Debrief is a short reflection the app writes after you journal. It takes what you wrote and sets it against what that day looked like in your chart. Read it as a mirror, not a verdict. It might name a tension you already sensed, or point to something you also mentioned earlier in the week. What you do with that is yours to decide.
